Jarvis Landry Proclaims Dolphins Will Sweep the Pats This Year

ESPNThe first bold prediction of the 2017 season comes from the Miami Dolphins and their leading receiver Jarvis Landry.

Miami's two-time Pro Bowler told a London crowd over the weekend that the Dolphins will sweep the reigning Super Bowl champion New England Patriots this upcoming season.

I see you Jarvis. Gotta stay relevant, make people remember there's a team in Miami that made the playoffs last year. Coming out and saying you're going to sweep the defending Super Bowl Champs who may have gotten better this off-season is an interesting way to go about it.

You could have just said, " We're going to sweep the Jets or Bills", you could of even said sweep both of them this year. People would believe it and get behind that. A Patriots sweep just seems like a stretch. I don't know what makes you think the Dolphins are capable of th.....oh he said why:

"If you're a competitor, that's the way you should feel, and I don't mind saying it," Landry said. "It's time for a change. I have all the respect in the world for the Patriots, and I respect Tom Brady tremendously. But they're not our big brother anymore."

Glad you don't want to be the little brother anymore. I'm a little brother too, I get it. You pick a fight with the big brother to show you can take him on. You're not afraid anymore, he can't hurt you like he us too. The thing is....he can. Big Brothers know exactly how to beat you, even when they get smaller than you, except in this case Big Bro is still hovering over you and casting a shadow. He's still uno number one the top contender and he isn't going away apparently for another 6-7 years.

Maybe the Dolphins shock people, maybe Tannehill takes the next step, and maybe the defense looks like they know how to cover receivers who just go underneath over the middle all game long. Seriously, that's all the Patriots offense really is in a nutshell. That's a lot of maybe's though Jarvis, so unless you plan on making some major upgrades to your own offensive game, turn it down on the chatter and promises and stick to just improving you and your teammates games.

Side Note: Just make like 7-8 catches like this a game and maybe you sweep
