Paris Saint Germain Pull a Warriors

ESPN-Barcelona needed to become the first team in European history to overcome a 4-0 first-leg Champions League deficit and did so against Paris Saint-Germain as they scored six goals to knock out PSG despite Edinson Cavani's away goal, ending the tie 6-5 on aggregate. With the win Wednesday, Barcelona reached the quarterfinals.

Since the start of last years NBA Finals we have witnessed the Warriors blow a 3-1 lead, the Indians blow a 3-1 lead, the Falcons blow a 25 point lead, and now add PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) blowing a 4 goal lead.

I get it was over a two game span, but still you play to win the game. I don't care if the goalie and defender kick it back and forth for 90 minutes. You can't give up an advantage like that, especially as one of the premiere teams in soccer.

I am a casual soccer fan, grew up playing, had an Uncle who was a coach, had his own camp, and had players go onto the MLS. I've been around the game and know that it is pretty hard to blow that type of lead in 1 game, let alone having a second one to pad the stats or completely prevent this from happening. Especially after they cut the lead to a 1 goal advantage, start playing keep away. I've seen little kids do it, and they don't even understand what's happening.

The past few major sporting events have had some ridiculous things happen in them. I mean don't get me started on the Super Bowl, because I still can't fathom Brady and his purple carrot fed troop of teammates somehow coming back. I guess when you have the Tom Brady of soccer on your team in Lionel Messi anything is possible. My guess is Luis Suarez also threatened to bite some people and you can't underestimate a threat from a guy you know will follow through.

I just can't wait to see what happens next in the sports world, I'm putting my money on Tim Tebow making the Mets starting roster, because why the hell not.

P.S. Sorry about the H-E-Double hockey sticks Timmy.
