DeAngelo Williams made his feelings clear when asked about his FA plans maybe involving Philly...
We all know DeAngelo Williams is a good back, he had a nice run in Carolina before moving onto the Pittsburgh Steelers the past few seasons. He's also on the wrong side of his career now as far as running backs go. He just finished up his 11th season, and unless you're an all-time RB it's getting close to being "hanging up the cleats" time. That didn't stop one Philly fan from trying to convince DeAngelo that Philly would be a good stop (mind you the Eagles have Ryan Matthews, Darren Sproles, Wendell Smallwood, and Kenjon Barner). The fan tried using Twitter to persuade Williams, his response:
DeAngelo coming in hot at Doug. Yeah, he didn't run the ball nearly as much as he should of, but damn you didn't have to call him out on it. Did DeAngelo ever think that maybe if the Eagles had a RB they knew wouldn't fumble and could play 3 downs they would run it more? No, I didn't think so...either way, even if the Eagles Front office was interested, I'm thinking they will probably take a pass now.Hahahaha u guys have a collection of backs just don't want to commit to the run u want the qb to do to much https://t.co/6ifKsr942J— DeAngelo Williams (@DeAngeloRB) February 7, 2017
All I got to say is DeAngelo, if you're listening, you could of been part of the Wentz Wagon and it could have been beautiful.
