Week 9 Draftkings Lineup

Well, I must admit my last two weeks have not been my best...But like in anything its not how you fall but how you get up that matters. So with that in mind here's my week 9 draftkings lineup thats sure to win.

QB: Derek Carr, Raiders $5,500
Quietly, Carr has been having one heck of a good season guiding the Raiders to a 4-3 record and a top ten offense. This includes a 24-20 win over the Jets defense that was extremely impressive. Amari Cooper is proving his worth as a top ten pick and Michael Crabtree seems to be realizing his potential finally when he was drafted. This week they face the Steelers that currently ranks 26th against the pass and 8th against the run. With such a disparity between rankings I expect Carr and the passing offense to be the focus. Furthermore, with this a must win for the Steelers I think it could turn into a shootout with plenty of points on both sides to be scored.

RB: Dion Lewis, Patriots $6,400
Lewis has been one of the surprising revelations this season, literally being picked up off the scrap heap to start for the Patriots. Lewis has been that pass catching running back that the Patriots always seem to have. Besides one game against the Colts he has scored at least 16 points and I think tht trend will continue against a Washington team that hasn't been very good this season.

RB: DeAngelo Williams, Steelers $5,500
With Bell now out for the season, here comes Williams to save the day. When Williams was filling in for Bell at the beginning of the season, he scored 17 points against the Patriots and 31 points against San Francisco. While the Raiders boast a strong rush defense, Williams has also been valuable in the pass game with 4 receptions against the Bengals after Bell got hurt and 4 against San Francisco. For such a low price, I think Williams will provide some points and potentially alot of them.

WR: Martavis Bryant, Steelers $5,500
This game is a must win for the Steelers if they want to stay within catching distance of the Bengals for the AFC North as well as in contention for a wild card. The Raiders boast the 2nd best defense against the run and the 31st defense against the pass. With that I think that this game might turn into a shootout with plenty of opportunities for Bryant to show up and score some huge points. While Brown will understandably draw their top cornerback as well as help over the top, this will leave Bryant with a more favorable matchup.

WR: Eric Decker, Jets $5,300
Surprisingly the Jets offense has actually done fairly well this year, with both Decker and Marshall performing well. Against a weak Jaguars defense that struggles against the pass I think this trend will continue. Decker will become especially valuable if Marshall is held out of this game which is very possible. Expect Fitzpatrick to also be the starting quarterback leading to an increase in targets for Decker. As a backup look at Allen Hurns on the Jaguars who costs the same amount.

WR: Demaryius Thomas, Broncos $7,500
Thomas has been the usual beast so far this season for the Broncos and has been largely immune to Mannings' struggles this season. In all the games but two Thomas has put up at least 18 points and has scored at least 24 points in the last two games. With the Broncos going up against an awful Colts defense I expect to him to have a monster game in helping Manning punish the Colts for releasing him.

TE: Benjamin Watson, Saints $4,000
The Saints offense has come alive in the last few weeks with Watson being one of the main recipients of the increase in pass attempts. Although the Titans boast the 3rd ranked pass defense they only rank 18th against tight ends meaning Watson could see a huge day. In two out of the last three games Watson has lead the team in targets, yards, and receptions with at least 30 points in both games. I think Watson will have another big game as Brees flings the ball all over the field.

Flex: Todd Gurley, Rams $6,900
Gurley has quickly established himself as one of the top running backs in the league, With a matchup against Adrian Peterson I think that he will want to show Peterson its in with the new and out with the old. The Vikings rank 15th against the run, and Gurley has scored at least 18 points in the last four games and 26 in the last two. Watch Gurley run hard and play really well against the Vikings.

D/ST: Falcons, $3,400
Normally, I wouldn't choose the Falcons and would choose the Broncos, but with the Falcons facing the 49ers. I couldn't resist. The 49ers have an injured Hyde at running back, a bad offensive line, a weak defense and now Blaine Gabbert at quarterback. Just watch tape of Gabbert on the Jaguars and you will see why he was a bust there. A turnover machine I think he will get sacked a bunch and throw a couple picks to the Falcons defense as they trounce the 49ers to an easy victory.

Happy Picking
