NFL Week 5 Draft kings Picks

Now for those of you who don't know, Draft kings runs on a budget of $50,000 where you must choose a quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, a tight end, a flex player, and a defense/special teams. The better the player the more expensive he is.

Now the key is finding the right bang for your buck and finding players that wont break your budget which means looking at the team that they are playing as well as usage trends for that player recently. Take for example Karlos williams, one of my choices for this week, the running back for the bills. In every game so far this season he has scored a touchdown and has looked very impressive running the ball racking up a bunch of yards. Now though that Lesean McCoy is out this week, Karlos Williams will get even more touches, as well as against a weak New York giants run defense. Seeing as Williams is only $3,400, he's a fantastic buy.

Another good example of a low cost potential high reward player is Devonta Freeman from the Atlanta Falcons. Now before last week, Freeman was simply the third down back as well as the backup, taking spells for Coleman when he needed to come out. As the third down back Freeman was valuable as a good pass catcher, and last week proved that he can handle the running load as well carrying the ball 30 times for 141 yards and three touchdowns. With Coleman expect to be out again, and although Atlanta is playing a tough Texans defense I expect him to continue to put up numbers and hes worth the $5,200.

Now sprinkling in a few superstars that are more expensive along with great cheap buys will give you the perfect team to win your Draft King contest. And with that here are my selections for this week in the million dollar contest.

QB: Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills $5,800
The Buffalo as I discussed early with Karlos Williams is playing a weak New York Giants team that hasn't played well on defense. To go along with a weak defense Buffalo Taylor has been dominating defenses with both great throwing as well as rushing yards when he scrambles. He's another cheaper buy with potential for a ton of production.

RB:Karlos Williams, Buffalo Bills $3,400

RB: Latavius Murray, Oakland Raiders $6,300
Murray has been one of the surprises this season, getting a bunch of carries for an improving Raiders offense. Along with getting better every week, including doing very well against the Browns last week, he is going up against a weak Bears defense that has been bad against the run.

WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals $6,500
Fitzgerald has undergone a youth movement so far this season, coinciding with the return of Carson Palmer for the Cardinals. He's been by far the most targeted wide reciever on a very good Cardinals offense and I expect him to continue to put up huge numbers against a decent but struggling Rams defense.

WR: A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals $7,600
Green has simply been unstoppable this season, dominating the competition every game including an unreal performance this week going for over 200 yards. He has a special connection going on with Andy Dalton so far and against a Kansas City defense thats last against the pass, I think he'll justify his large cost with huge numbers.

WR: DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans $7,300
Another player who has been having a great season so far is Hopkins. Even with the turmoil at the QB position for the Texans Hopkins is the clear number one receiver and has the lions share of the targets from Mallett. Even going against a decent Falcons defense I think that Hopkins is just one of those top receivers you almost can't guard and will put up some decent numbers.

TE: Jordan Reed, Washington Football Team $4,500
Although Washington has been just a mess on offense, the one player in the passing game who has been consistent is Reed. Each game this season he has caught at least six passes and been targeted a total of 26 times so far. I think that Cousins will continue to lean on Reed and will give him the opportunity to catch plenty of passes this week as they play the Eagles.

D/ST: Denver Broncos $3,300
Denver might have the best defense in the league and going against a weak Minnesota Vikings I expect them to have a big game. Adrian Peterson still isn't back to full form and the rest of the Vikings offense should be hapless against the Broncos. Honestly the Broncos, Seahawks, and Cardinals are all great defense choices this week.
