DraftKings Week 6

After having played Draftkings myself more and more I'm starting to realize it's all about those players that are gonna surprise you with a big game. Players who just aren't being recognized by everyone else as having big games or are good players who just now are getting the kind of matchup that can lead to a breakout. It's these players, who get you points when no one else has them that will get you into the money. With that piece of advice here are my week 6 picks.

QB: Andy Dalton, Bengals $5,700
This price for Dalton seems absurdly low considering the MVP type numbers that he has been putting up. The bills are a little banged up in the secondary and have been giving up some serious fantasy points to quarterbacks and I expect Dalton to continue that trend. Dalton is benefiting from a supporting cast that has weapons everywhere you look from Bernard to AJ Green to Eifert and those weapons will run all over the bills. With weapons like these its no surprise that Dalton has scored at least 18 points and every game and scored over 30 twice including the last game against a good seahawks defense.

RB: LaGarrette Blount, Patriots $4,400
As a patriots fan, I've been looking forward to this game since the superbowl ended. The only question is, will Tom Brady decide to dice up that Colts defense for 50 points, or will they pound the ball on the them on the way to 50 points like they have the last couple years. While I think that Tom Brady will of course get his points as Gronkowski trucks players left and right and Edelman carves them up underneath I really think that this is the game for Blount. While Dion Lewis has dominated the backfield for the patriots and I again expect him to have a good game, I really think that they are gonna run the ball with Blount a good 30 times and for him to have a big game against the Colts

RB: Chris Ivory, Jets $5,100
Ivory has quietly had a pretty good season this year with two games over 20 points. What makes Ivory I think a strong play is both his low cost, but also his potential for a huge game. His backup Bilal Powell got injured last week meaning that the touches for Ivory will only increase and although Washington has a good rush defense I think that Ivory will be able to run over them. One of the reasons why is the ineptitude of the Washington offense against a very good Jets defense. This means that the Jets will have plenty of offensive possessions against that Washington defense to wear them down and let Ivory pound the ball until he breaks one.

WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals $7,000
I never expected to see a revival for Fitzgerald after a hard last two seasons in which we all kinda wondered if this was it for him. However Fitzgerald has truly come on strong this season and played extremely well. In fact this will be the third straight week I have chosen him to be on my team and the previous two times he got me points of at least 15 points. While good points, and I expect at least that much from him this week, I think that this could be another breakout week for him. Fitzgerald is getting the vast majority of targets from Palmer and should get some serious opportunities against a very poor Steelers defense. Anyone who watched the San Diego game can only imagine what a high powered Cardinal offense will do to them.

WR: Allen Hurns, Jaguars $5,000
Each of the last three games Hurns has scored a touchdown and had at least 70 yard.s. Over the last two games he has had at least five catches as well and I think this trend will continue. The Jaguars have been throwing the ball alot as they have been in either shootout games, or behind and trying to catch the opposition meaning Blake Bortles will be throwing the ball more. The numbers between Hurns and Robinson, Jacksonville's other wide receiver, are almost the same and with Hurns costing so much less, I'm going with Hurns this week.

WR: Brandon Marshall , Jets $7,100
Marshall has been a fantasy monster this year and the clear number one target for Fitzpatrick. Every game this season has resulted in a game of at least 18 points for Marshall and three straight games of at least 22 points. The Jets should thoroughly dominate a hapless Washington team, and like I stated for Chris Ivory, they should get plenty of opportunities to score as the Jets defense dominates.

TE: Tyler Eifert, Bengals $4,900
Alot of my prediction for Eifert stems from what I think Dalton will do as well as the performance for Eifert over the season. The Bills just haven't been good against the pass and I expect Eifert to have a similar impact against them that Gronkowski did when the Patriots played them. Dalton should be throwing the ball all over the yard and the Bills just can't seem to cover tight ends well. Watch out for Eifert to continue his resurgence from his mini slump.

Flex: Matt Forte, Bears $7,100
Forte has been very up and down this season with three games over 18 points and two games under 15 points. With Cutler at quarterback Forte is not only the clear number one running option but also a very strong receiving option especially in check down plays. The Bears this week play an extremely weak Lions defense that has struggled against the run leaving it open for Forte to have a big game either through the air or on the ground.

Defense: Broncos $3,700
This has been nothing short of the best defense in the NFL with two stellar corners and a ferocious pass rush. This week they face a weak Browns offense without a true running back and only one real wide receiver. That one receiver, Travis Benjamin, however is going to have to deal with being covered by either Chris Harris Jr. or Aqib Talib. Either of these corners I expect to be able to shut him down with ease with only Josh McCown throwing to him and his true threat only being on deep balls. The Broncos defense has scored at least 16 points four times and their lowest outing being 10 points against Minnesota when they didn't force a turnover. Watch out for the Broncos to force at least one or two turnovers and sack McCown all day long.
