Oh No, Notre Dame

Notre Dame may have an undefeated record after the first three weeks of the college football year, but the team is losing on the field. Each week they have lost at least one starter to a season ending injury. The most recent was Drue Tranquill a sophomore safety, who after making a stop on 3rd down hip bumped a teammate and ended up with an ACL tear in his right knee. If you watched it live you knew right away that whatever the injury it wasn't good. If you didn't see the injury heres a clip:
As you can tell he was in a lot of pain immediately so you knew it was probably season ending. The sad thing for him is his season is over. What's worse? That is the 6th starter for Notre Dame that has gone down with a season ending injury. Obviously, the biggest has been starting QB Malik Zaire but, they have also had RB Tarean Fulston, TE Durham Smythe, DL Jarron Jones, and DB Shaun Crawford all go down with season enders. That is 3 major players on offense and 3 significant contributors on defense. Despite the injuries though Notre Dame keeps knocking off opponents, the latest being No.14 Georgia Tech.
As long as the injury bug slows down and they can keep Will Fuller, DeShone Kizer, and C.J. Prosise'
s healthy the offense will keep moving along. Fuller has done whats expected by a potential All-American and Prosise has been a huge surprise at the running back position. He even broke a 91 yard run (2nd longest in school history) that amazed everyone.

This team is a lot like the 2012 squad when it comes to resiliency. They have already faced a lot of challenges and close games, but keep finding a way to win. Let's hope for their sake it ends up with a championship this year instead of a blowout heartbreaking defeat.

This week they take on UMass, which in all honesty should be a blowout game for ND. I predict a 45-3 shellacking from the Irish. That's just my stance. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
